PFC Espinoza has been employed with the Alton Police Department since June 2000. During that period PFC Espinoza has been working with the patrol division. PFC Espinoza became a dog handler May 2004, K-9 Bach being his first and only dog.

PFC Espinoza's Canine partner, Bach, is a three year old German Sheppard. K-9 Bach is an import from the Czech Republic and has been a resident of the United States since January 2004.

PFC Espinoza acquired his new partner March of 2004. PFC Espinoza and K-9 Bach attended the Illinois State Police Canine Academy, together, between March 2004 and May 2004. While attending the Illinois State Police Canine Academy, PFC Espinoza was certified to be a Canine Handler and K-9 Bach was certified to be a full service police dog.

PFC Espinoza and his Canine counterpart have been working on the street together since the Canine Academy graduation, May of 2004. Since working on the street, K-9 Bach has made many suspect apprehensions and has found narcotics on several occasions. K-9 Bach has also located evidence on several crime scenes. The evidence included guns, a mask (worn by a suspect) and bullets.
